Stock Checks:
Inventory is a fluid commodity. It changes by the
hour (sometimes by the minute). To retain our pricing structure
we maintain stock levels designed to turnover 6 times each
year. We cannot guarantee stock status till we have an order
in hand. All product is subject to prior sale. If we confirm
that we have it, and, while we are waiting for the order
it sells, you would be upset that we did not hold it.
We used to hold items but learned a VERY EXPENSIVE lesson.
When we held items for customers’ orders, the order
never materialized 80%+ of the time. We lost out on
the orders placed while the item was on hold. Also
we wasted staff time that could have been used to pull actual
orders.
Since we are well known for finding older stock the fact
that it may not be on our shelves at this minute does not
mean we can’t get it. So, as we spell out on our terms
pages, we don’t do it anymore. You may, however, call in and we will tell you if the items
are available and if possible attempt to locate what we
don’t have while you are on the phone. |
Please place your order using our SECURE Shopping Cart site:
http://wig-wag-trains-cart.com/home
If you MUST send an e-mail inquiry, copy & paste the entire description TEXT ONLY (NO pictures!) from the
item you are ordering into your e-mail.
It will save time and reduce confusion in determining
what you
are inquiring about.
With the quantity of lines we carry it's not possible to memorize all of them.

January 01 - Atlas has released photos of the first release of the ALCo S-2 locomotives. They should be in production and could ship in the next container. Best Price deadline passed almost 2 years ago but some may still be available if you do not wait one minute longer. Second release Best price ended 3 days ago but we should be able to get more to fill your request if you order now.
Please submit your Order using our secure ON-LINE shopping cart and receive your order confirmation right away. It's the SECURE way to place your order! If you want to order by e-mail or phone and pay the $15 processing fee you may do so. FYI: Shopping Cart Pre-Orders are processed each day. With George now working for the C&TSRR 170-180 miles from the shop it is the only way to get your order entered in the system in a timely manner. He is gone from the shop 10-12 days each time he heads trackside and then here 2-4. So far we have spent 87.5% of his first year salary just to be able to be there. Does that make any sense? Winter in a trailer has already been a very interesting (CHILLING) experience in the frozen tundra section of Colorado. The San Luis Valley of Colorado is one of the two coldest places in the continental USA every winter night.

December 08 - Deluxe Innovations has announced the long anticipated production of the first release of their Maxi-IV cars is in route with one little change. The factory has billed them at a 35% higher cost than the most recent adjustment. Deluxe believes they have absorbed as much of that increase as they can so the retail price must go up to pickup some of the increase. The new retail is now $89.95. When the retail price goes up so must ours. Our price should be 25% off the retail. Debra was going to get the adjusted price posted last night and I do not know if she did. "It has been crazy in the storefront with holiday shoppers." is the last report I got from her. In any case our new price will be posted on the Shopping Cart only. Follow this link to go there. If you are unwilling to absorb your share advise us no later than 12/30 at noon MST. They will be in our hands in January and in yours shortly after. These cars were announced as far back as 2010 so you have to refer to your hard copy records of what you ordered in order to be sure. |

So far we have spent 87.5% of his first year salary just to be able to be there. Does that make any sense? It has also been an experience since the temperatures at 8000 ft elevation drop into the 40's every night (in summer) and there is virtually no insulation in a trailer. Winter in a trailer is already a very interesting (CHILLING) experience in the frozen tundra section of Colorado. The San Luis Valley rivals International Falls, MN for lowest USA temperature every winter night.

November 1 - Pontification Time: While I hunkered down here in Mogote bivouacked near the RR working on the Rapido announcement (that I hope will be complete in an hour) I was listening to Sirius XM 70's on 7 for Casey Kasem's American Top 40. As he counted down to Gladys Knight & the Pips Midnight Train to Georgia (their first #1 on 10/27/73) I was once again reminded of the Sunday nights spent doing homework and counting down with Kasey. Then I was troubled by all the consternation the Casem family has gone through since his passing. I sit here in the cold of the San Luis Valley and pray that they can once and finally find the peace and tranquility that Kasey brought so many of my generation especially as he concluded each week with this phrase: "Keep your feet on the ground and keep reaching for the Stars." Now that AT40 has concluded for this week I will put in the Garth Brooks DVD from Wynn Las Vegas, the "Blame it all on My Roots" Concert. What better day can one have. |
