Inventory is a fluid commodity. It changes by the
hour (sometimes by the minute). To retain our pricing structure
we maintain stock levels designed to turnover 6 times each
year. We cannot guarantee stock status till we have an order
in hand. All product is subject to prior sale. If we confirm
that we have it, and, while we are waiting for the order
it sells, you would be upset that we did not hold it.
We used to hold items but learned a VERY EXPENSIVE lesson.
When we held items for customers’ orders, the order
never materialized 80%+ of the time. We lost out on
the orders placed while the item was on hold. Also
we wasted staff time that could have been used to pull actual
orders.
Since we are well known for finding older stock the fact
that it may not be on our shelves at this minute does not
mean we can’t get it. So, as we spell out on our terms
pages, we don’t do it anymore. You may, however, call in and we will tell you if the items
are available and if possible attempt to locate what we
don’t have while you are on the phone. |

May 30 -- Micro-Trains® Line has announced their N-Scale Pre-Order items for June. A Runner Pack that should get a lot of attention. This Santa Fe RB Class 50' Plug Door were used for items that needed temperature control but not necessarily refrigeration. In a classy move M-TL has announced a new Holiday car that we believe is a first: the Happy Hanukkah car will be delivered in clear plastic to improve the stained glass appearance of the car and should go well with collectors so do not wait to order. The Tree Trimming Express is also the N-Scale release for the Christian modeler and collector . Pre-Orders close at Wig-Wag on June 28th. Don't wait to order! May 29 - Kato USA will be adding a number of individually packaged UNITRAM track pieces to its Basic Stock inventory. These individual track pieces are designed especially for the international market and are not marked with Japan-specific left hand road markings, however they can be used to expand on existing layouts built from Japanese style UNITRAM track sets. May 25 - Some news from Atlas.
Message from the Atlas CEO to our Customers-Distributors, Retailers and Consumers,
In an effort to stabilize pricing, while assuring the continuation of quality Atlas model railroad products, I made a decision approximately one year ago to transfer all Atlas product molds from a primary supplier to multiple suppliers. The transfer of more than 5,000 Atlas proprietary molds and tools was not as smooth as I had hoped for; however, the process is nearly complete.
The following is a current update on Atlas production.
1. N, HO and O Freight Cars and Locomotives- Atlas freight cars and locomotives are in full production at our new suppliers and are currently being shipped from Atlas to distributors. Watch our A-Z on-line shipping schedule for updates. http://www.atlasrr.com/ordership.htm
2. O Gauge Track and Accessories- Atlas has a complete supply of both 3 rail and 2 rail track products and accessories. 2 rail flex track is currently sold out at Atlas and is in short supply at retailers. Production is being worked on and will be available late summer.
3. N and HO Gauge - Our new supplier is currently testing and prepping primary Atlas track molds. Production will start in June and Atlas will receive the first shipments of N & HO track this summer. Consumers should check their retailers for availability. If individual consumers need a few pieces of track to finish or repair their layout Atlas will fill their order from a limited supply of customer service stock while supplies last. Cost is MSRP, no discounts.
4. N & HO Accessories- Atlas has a limited supply of accessories and retailers should be checked for availability. New suppliers have started production of these products and full availability will be achieved during the summer and early fall.
I would like to thank all of our customers- distributors, retailers and consumers- for your continued support of Atlas products. Especially during these last few years of tough economic times. I wish you all, your families and friends, in particular all our veterans, a safe and happy Memorial Day weekend holiday.

Debra is loading about 500 items a week and some older items are moving quickly as a result. We're only getting about one page linked a day so we are way behind her in getting you over there. You do not have to wait for us to announce that a page is cross linked to do some investigating of your own. Eventually that site will replace this one totally. Currently we receive over 3,000,000 hits on this site each month (only a very small fraction of those hits result in orders) and when the new site receives more visits than this one does we will phase this site out. Please note that the confirmation e-mail from the new site is an unattended "dummy" account. All electronic communication still needs to come to wigwag@swcp.com.

| May 17 - A high quality N-Scale manufacturer of rolling stock has a new announcement that we will roll out on both sites tomorrow morning at their request. If you model late transition era through the 2000's you will want these cars. Sorry but in keeping with their request we cannot tell you any more till tomorrow morning. It is currently 5:50 PM MDT at our office. In Florida the time is 7:50 PM EDT. In California it is 4:50 PM PDT. In Berlin, Germany it is 4:50 AM Friday. Our announcement will be posted as quickly as possible after 8:00 AM MDT on Friday 05/18/2012. It will be posted to both the historic site and the Shopping Cart site. |

May 15 -- Micro-Trains® Line has announced the May Weathered Items but will not release the photos till tomorrow, GGGRRRRrrrrr we hate waiting! First is a Baltimore & Ohio weathered train including a 4-4-0, 3-cars and caboose. Next up is a Great Northern Glacier Green boxcar w/o roofwalk which looked like the one to the right before Mother Nature and the graffiti artists got a hold of it. We place our order in the morning way before phone lines open here and likely before photos are available so jump now if you want them. The train set is not included in any customer's standing order.

May 06 - Miller Engineering's LightWorks USA has announced new signs for delivery in July 2012. Included will be a Cracker Jack billboard featuring Sailor Jack and his dog Bingo. George remembers Cracker Jack from when his Dad took him to hockey games in the old War Memorial Auditorium. Do you remember the name of the Buffalo minor league hockey team? Also coming is a Building sign for A&P Grocery like the one in University Plaza that George's Dad used to take George to on Friday evenings when he did the family shopping. April 27 -- Coming this Fall from Micro-Trains® Line are a new Civil War era 26' box car, a 26' nine-stake flat car and a converted box car/ caboose. They will feature the usual fine mold detail, state-of-the-art decorating, as well as an all-new truck to maintain historical accuracy. At this time we do not have any prices or part numbers.
