Inventory is a fluid commodity. It changes by the
hour (sometimes by the minute). To retain our pricing structure
we maintain stock levels designed to turnover 6 times each
year. We cannot guarantee stock status till we have an order
in hand. All product is subject to prior sale. If we confirm
that we have it, and, while we are waiting for the order
it sells, you would be upset that we did not hold it.
We used to hold items but learned a VERY EXPENSIVE lesson.
When we held items for customers’ orders, the order
never materialized 80%+ of the time. We lost out on
the orders placed while the item was on hold. Also
we wasted staff time that could have been used to pull actual
orders.
Since we are well known for finding older stock the fact
that it may not be on our shelves at this minute does not
mean we can’t get it. So, as we spell out on our terms
pages, we don’t do it anymore. You may, however, call in and we will tell you if the items
are available and if possible attempt to locate what we
don’t have while you are on the phone. |

| August 13 - Woodland Scenics recently announced (while we were traveling to see the Dr. in California) a new Pre-Fab structure: J.W. Cobbler. Once a Built-Up, it is now coming at a lower price but you have to do the work of getting it to look like Woodland did for you if you had bought the built-up. | August 13 - We have NEW Built & Ready buildings from Woodland Scenics that were announced while we were traveling to see the Dr. in California. Three new structures including Ethyl's Gas & Service and two windmills on different ends of their careers. Once again these should be stunning. | August 07 - Fox Valley Models has announced TWO Road names are coming in their Trinity RD-4 Hoppers. Single cars and 2, 12-cars sets are coming for each road name. Since these are run typically as unit trains, singles are rarely seen (unless it was setout with hotbox or other problem), however 24 of these cars will make a nice start to a unit train. Alliant Energy (LNTX) has been done in the past in a different paint scheme so these could possibly be mixed with them. Union Electric (UCEX) is a new road name and could be mixed with other lease fleets to build a respectable consist. Delivery is scheduled for Early 2014. | August 06 - Kato has announced TWO Road names utilizing EMD E-8/9 locomotives and accompanying 6-car and 4-car sets of applicable smoothside passenger cars. Alaska Railroad is coming with two E8 A-units and one B-unit (they needed the additional s/g capacity). Chicago & NorthWestern has two E8 A-units to pull their ten cars. The locomotives are coming as singles so you can buy as many as you want to pull your train. The cars are coming w/o road numbers or car names so that you can put together the applicable train you want to model. Delivery is scheduled for December. | August 06 - Atlas has announced a new release (AFTER SEVEN YEARS) of their Pulpwood Flat Cars in six paint schemes and twelve road numbers. Yes Charlie, your Frisco are already ordered. While mostly an eastern release these were also used in the midwest and southwest as shown by this release. You should be able to find that one or more road names that could have been interchanged onto your layout even if they were not roads you directly model. | August 06 - Atlas has announced a new release of their Master Series Evans 53' Double-Plug-Door Boxcars in Eight paint schemes including six new schemes. A total of 24 different road numbers are included in this new release. The release is pretty comprehensive and only raises one question for George, "Why would a load of plywood require an Air-Pack cushioning system. Possibly those companies are actually shipping completed product?" You should be able to find a home for these cars on your layout. Delivery is scheduled for the 2nd Qtr of 2014. | August 06 - Trainworx has announced a new release of their 52'6" Gondola in TEN NEW paint schemes and NINE NEW road names. This release includes the Ribbed side car. A total of 88 different road numbers are included in this new release. The release pretty much covers the entire USA. If you can't find several of these to add to your layout, your modeling window may be set a bit too early. Delivery is scheduled for early 2014. July 31 - "On the Road Again!" We have been invited to take our N-Trak traveling layout to the Guadalupe County Fair in Santa Rosa, NM the first weekend of August 2013. We of course accepted and will be using a modified and hopefully improved version of the layout that has been attracting visitors to Vaughn NM including the modules that won an award at WGH Chantilly several years ago. The layout should be operating Friday August 2nd thru Saturday August 3rd. Here's an idea, Come to Santa Rosa see some Union Pacific & run-through trains and participate in a "Western" County Fair. Santa Rosa is on the main line of the Golden State Route and has one of the two new vehicle unloading facilities in NM. | July 30 - Micro-Trains Line has announced their August N-Scale Pre-Orders will be in the form of what should be a great Runner Pack. Pre-Orders for these close at Wig-Wag on August 28th. Please don't wait too long since we place our order on 07/31/2013. They also provided more reason to save your shekels! Artwork and data related to the upcoming formal announcement of the EMD SW-1500. We're Still waiting on part #'s and pricing though.

Unfortunately George has had to get on the roof twice today to work on the cooler for the warehouse (our landlord charges $250 for a 15 minute, with $8 parts maintenance job) so this announcement is a bit later than normal. The N and Z-Scale announcements are on the Shopping Cart already so if you go there you can be the first to get them on order. This month includes the delivery of the STEEL Graffiti Runner Pack, eight new releases and two popular reprints. Pre-Orders for these close at Wig-Wag when they arrive on August 5th.
