Inventory is a fluid commodity. It changes by the
hour (sometimes by the minute). To retain our pricing structure
we maintain stock levels designed to turnover 6 times each
year. We cannot guarantee stock status till we have an order
in hand. All product is subject to prior sale. If we confirm
that we have it, and, while we are waiting for the order
it sells, you would be upset that we did not hold it.
We used to hold items but learned a VERY EXPENSIVE lesson.
When we held items for customers’ orders, the order
never materialized 80%+ of the time. We lost out on
the orders placed while the item was on hold. Also
we wasted staff time that could have been used to pull actual
orders.
Since we are well known for finding older stock the fact
that it may not be on our shelves at this minute does not
mean we can’t get it. So, as we spell out on our terms
pages, we don’t do it anymore. You may, however, call in and we will tell you if the items
are available and if possible attempt to locate what we
don’t have while you are on the phone. |

| October 21 - Eastern Seaboard Models has announced ten new paint schemes on the X58 boxcars for delivery in November. We will order these cars by 11/01/2013 so we need your order NOW if you want to get them. This release will include the second annual ESMC Holiday Car which is themed as "Joy to the World." | October 19 - Deluxe Innovations has announced a new release of their 40-ft Ribbed side containers in two paint schemes. The ACL version will come in a 2-pack and the K Line will come in a five pack again. These are due to arrive in the second quarter of 2014. | October 14 - Fox Valley Models has announced the second release of the GP60M & GP60B locomotives will be here in November. YOUR orders are needed now as they are already in production in very limited quantities. We will place our initial order @ 0800 on 10/15/2013. The Maersk promotional scheme and the BNSF H3 scheme are being done. As of now only three units went into the 2005 or 'Swoosh' scheme so only that amount will be done. As to the color of the Maersk loco, Matt included this note: "A side note on the Maersk unit regarding color. While the color was matched to a paint called "Maersk Blue", it may be a bit dark for some folks, while others are happy with it. So here is the deal. If you just have to have a Maersk unit now and like the color, you are in luck as you will have it shortly. If you prefer a lighter baby-blue color, we will run additional units in mid to late 2014 with a new hue. October 14 - Fox Valley Models' announcement e-mail was very informative. We are printing it below for your perusal:
"Greetings Everyone,
We are pleased to announce two additional paint schemes on the GP60M & B locomotives - BNSF H3 (Wedge scheme) and Maersk. To date, BNSF has only painted a few of these locomotives in the latest scheme and we are offering all three - two M's and one B unit. The Santa Fe painted one locomotive for Maersk for promotional purposes. The modified war bonnet scheme was worn for only a short time before being painted back into traditional red and silver. These four locomotives will start shipping the first week of Nov. Quantities are finite, so please order as needed. The flyer and Excel sheet are attached.
Shipping updates:
The ATSF GP60s are now sold out and the BNSF green/orange units are on their ways to store shelves now.
The HO & N Hiawatha locomotives and cars will start shipping to stores this week.
The newly announced GPs above will start shipping in early Nov. HO & N Express Cars and Bunk Coaches will follow and the 2013 N Scale Christmas cars will ship the 3rd week of Nov. (watch for that announcement in a few weeks).
Dec will be busy with HO & N Wagontops, N Canstock cars and the rerun of N Heritage GEVOs.
