Inventory is a fluid commodity. It changes by the
hour (sometimes by the minute). To retain our pricing structure
we maintain stock levels designed to turnover 6 times each
year. We cannot guarantee stock status till we have an order
in hand. All product is subject to prior sale. If we confirm
that we have it, and, while we are waiting for the order
it sells, you would be upset that we did not hold it.
We used to hold items but learned a VERY EXPENSIVE lesson.
When we held items for customers’ orders, the order
never materialized 80%+ of the time. We lost out on
the orders placed while the item was on hold. Also
we wasted staff time that could have been used to pull actual
orders.
Since we are well known for finding older stock the fact
that it may not be on our shelves at this minute does not
mean we can’t get it. So, as we spell out on our terms
pages, we don’t do it anymore. You may, however, call in and we will tell you if the items
are available and if possible attempt to locate what we
don’t have while you are on the phone. |

| March 19 - Kato USA has announced plans to deliver a Commuter passenger set in CalTrain using the Chicago Metra cars. These are "custom" production under their "Kobo" line. | March 19 - Atlas® has released production photos of the new release of the Trainman® 4750 cuft Covered Hoppers that are due any day. If they aren't on the water now they will be soon. We have also re-built our data base for them and have determined that at least one customer has not re-confirmed an order that was placed using e-mail or phone. | March 06 - Fox Valley Models has announced the B&O Canstock Box car. Last month they said it would be later this year which typically is more than 30 days. However here they are and Pre-Orders are open for only about 16 days. Three variations will be coming. I can see some of these cars running on the Coors train this September at the Vaughn show. | March 6 - Atlas has announced the FIRST RELEASE of the ALCo S-2 Diesel Switcher. They are coming in the 4th Quarter, finally, after teasing us since last August! Seven schemes are coming in this release and apparently this will be the first tiny loco in N-Scale with ESU-Lok Sound as an option. We understand the body is mostly die cast metal that will help make them heavy enough to offset the lost space taken up by the decoder/sound system. Personally we hope Atlas will do the BNSF version that they posted artwork for a few months back. Two very popular schemes are returning along with three new ones appropriate for border crossings and two other new schemes as well. You'll want to get a fleet of them if you model post transition era up to today. We hope to get some prototype shots when we are in Vaughn verifying that we will be going back this year once again to assist the church with the fiesta.
