Inventory is a fluid commodity. It changes by the
hour (sometimes by the minute). To retain our pricing structure
we maintain stock levels designed to turnover 6 times each
year. We cannot guarantee stock status till we have an order
in hand. All product is subject to prior sale. If we confirm
that we have it, and, while we are waiting for the order
it sells, you would be upset that we did not hold it.
We used to hold items but learned a VERY EXPENSIVE lesson.
When we held items for customers’ orders, the order
never materialized 80%+ of the time. We lost out on
the orders placed while the item was on hold. Also
we wasted staff time that could have been used to pull actual
orders.
Since we are well known for finding older stock the fact
that it may not be on our shelves at this minute does not
mean we can’t get it. So, as we spell out on our terms
pages, we don’t do it anymore. You may, however, call in and we will tell you if the items
are available and if possible attempt to locate what we
don’t have while you are on the phone. |

July 31 -- The August Micro-News has arrived, and boy do they have a number of cars coming in N-Scale this month. Delivering this month are some new and reprinted 40' box cars, the #4 car in the meat packer series, a number of passenger cars, some of which are painted and undec, and the Canadian National runner pack that was originally announced in January will be available this month. We are also expecting to see the Southern Pacific/Cotton Belt Train Set that was due last month, along with the Ringling Bros.™ Excursion Train Set that was announced back in April. | July 29 - A new release of the GE Dash 8-40B locomotives is in the works according to the new Atlas Catalog. These five paint schemes include some never seen before in N-Scale as well as some favorites if you model intermodal in the late 1980's through today. | July 27 - Athearn has announced a new release of their HO SD70M-2 Locomotives. These engines are coming in the prototype era of 2004-2006 for ElectroMotive. Built in 2004, three SD70M-2 demonstration units were tested on various railroads like Norfolk Southern, CSX, and Florida East Coast. Each engine is available with or without sound. | July 25 - Eastern Seaboard Models Corp. has announced the 2nd release of their PRR X58 Boxcar in three roadnames and NINE variations in paint schemes including one car modeled after a prototype car intended to raise cancer awareness and generate funds to fight Cancer. Debra is loading about 500 items a week and many older items are moving quickly as a result. We're only getting about one page linked a week so we are way behind her in getting you over there. Currently we receive over 3,000,000 hits on this site each month (only a very, very small fraction of those hits result in actual orders) and when the new site receives more visits than this one does we will phase this site out. | July 16 - Athearn is reporting with very little fanfare that they are back in production of N-Scale items. The first deliveries will be the BNSF Green End Bethgons in mid August. First off, coming in January 2013 is a 4-pack of TTX Centerbeam Cars equipped with wood beam and plywood loads. Also arriving in January 2013 is an 8-pack, yes you read that right, an 8-pack of coal hoppers. Also, expect to see in November and December of this year a Civil War Commemorative 150th Anniversary Train Sets. The Union Train Set should arrive in November, and the Confederate in December.
